This is a watchlist, not a buy-now shortlist.

Availability, pricing, and specs can change before these TVs reach stores, and some have no US plans announced at all. Every fact below comes from the linked manufacturer announcement or, where marked, trade press, as checked on October 7, 2026. We haven't seen or measured any of these sets. For TVs you can buy today, start with our shortlist and decision helper or the buying guides.

Most of the TVs here are big-screen flagships built around RGB backlights: Samsung's Micro RGB, Sony's True RGB, Hisense's RGB MiniLED evo (which adds cyan as a fourth primary), and Haier's RGB Mini-LED MR92. Smaller RGB sets from Samsung, Sony, and Hisense are already in stores. What's still missing is the very largest screens, plus Haier's 2027 ranges, which so far exist only in trade-show coverage.

Should you wait for one? Probably not, unless you were already shopping at 100 inches and up. Every set here with a stated size is at least that big, and the only one with a published US price lists at $30,999.99. If you need a TV this season, the sets in our guides are the ones to buy.

Just arriving

On pre-sale or in its first retail listings, but not widely stocked yet.

  1. Sony

    Status: Just arriving

Sony Bravia 9 II 115" True RGB

Announced · Sony Electronics press release · Model K115XR90M2

    True RGB Mini-LED
    Size
    115"
    US MSRP
    $30,999.99

Sony's largest True RGB flagship, and the one Bravia 9 II size most people still can't walk into a store and buy. The smaller sizes are already on sale.

    Sony's claims, not our measurements

    • Independently driven red, green, and blue LEDs
    • RGB Backlight Master Drive Pro backlight control

Caveats: Sony listed the 115-inch as “available this fall” in May. As of early October 2026, US retail listings and installs are only starting to appear, so expect limited stock.

Shipping soon

The maker has committed to a window within the next few months, without an exact date.

  1. Samsung

    Status: Shipping soon

    Samsung 100" Class Micro RGB

Announced · Samsung US Micro RGB lineup release

    Expected

It completes the living-room size ladder for Samsung's Micro RGB lineup. The 55- to 85-inch R95H and R85H sets are already rolling out; the 100-inch is the step up to a true home-theater screen.

    Samsung's claims, not our measurements

    • Independently driven red, green, and blue micro LEDs
    • VDE-certified ≥100% BT.2020 color area (a lineup-wide claim)

Caveats: Samsung's only commitment so far: the 100-inch Class model “will debut later this year.” Its April US pricing table lists the 65- to 85-inch R95H and 55- to 85-inch R85H, but no 100-inch price, and doesn't say which series the 100-inch belongs to.

No price link: we haven't verified a retail listing for this model yet.

Announced

Shown officially, but with no firm US ship date from the maker.

  1. Samsung

    Status: Announced

    Samsung 130" Micro RGB R95H

    Size

Samsung calls it the world's first 130-inch Micro RGB TV. It's the ceiling of the company's 2026 Micro RGB story, in a new gallery-style Timeless Frame design.

    Samsung's claims, not our measurements

    • Micro RGB Precision Color 100: 100% of the BT.2020 color gamut, VDE-certified
    • Samsung Glare Free anti-reflection screen
    • Micro RGB AI Engine Pro processing

Caveats: A CES showcase model. Neither Samsung unveil post gives a US MSRP or a retail date, so treat it as a showcase until Samsung publishes US pricing and availability.

  2. Hisense

    Status: Announced

    Hisense 116UXS

    Announced · CES 2026

    Expected
Later in 2026 (per trade press)

Hisense's color flagship takes RGB beyond three primaries: its RGB MiniLED evo backlight adds cyan, which Hisense says brings more nuance to mid-spectrum tones and gradients.

    Hisense's claims, not our measurements

    • Four-primary backlight: red, green, and blue, plus cyan
    • Up to 110% of BT.2020 color coverage
    • Hi-View AI Engine RGB processing
    • Devialet Opéra de Paris 6.2.2 audio system

Caveats: Hisense's CES post gives no ship date, no US price, and no screen size beyond the model name. The “later in 2026” timing comes from FlatpanelsHD's July report that a flagship UXS would arrive after the rest of Hisense's 2026 range. Hisense's UR9 and UR8 RGB MiniLED sets are already on sale.

  3. Haier · Trade press

    Status: Announced

    Haier MS96

One of two premium Mini-LED ranges Haier outlined at IFA for 2027, and an early look at next year's flagship LCD race.

Caveats: Trade coverage only. The model name and the Q2 2027 timing come from AVCesar's IFA report; Haier Europe's own IFA release confirms its UltraSense AI TVs and sizes up to 163 inches but doesn't name the MS96. No US availability or US price has been announced.

  4. Haier · Trade press

    Status: Announced

    Haier MR92

Haier's RGB Mini-LED range for 2027 shows the colored-backlight push spreading beyond Samsung, Sony, and Hisense, though it's at least a year out.

Caveats: Trade coverage only. The model name and the “during 2027” timing come from AVCesar's IFA report; Haier Europe's own IFA release doesn't name the MR92. No US availability or US price has been announced.

What's already on sale

You don't have to wait for the biggest sizes to get the newest backlight technology, or for a giant screen. These are already on sale in the US:

  • Sony True RGB: the Bravia 9 II in 65, 75, and 85 inches, plus the Bravia 7 II. We cover the Bravia 9 II in our bright-room guide and in Bravia 9 II vs LG G6.
  • Samsung Micro RGB: the R95H (65 to 85 inches) and R85H (55 to 85 inches), which Samsung said in April were rolling out.
  • Hisense RGB MiniLED: the UR9 and UR8 series, Hisense's more accessible three-color RGB lineup.
  • A 115-inch screen today: TCL's RM9L is generally available, including 115-inch listings.

Apart from the Bravia 9 II, we don't cover these sets yet; they're listed so you know they exist.

How we built this list

A TV makes this page only if a manufacturer has announced it and it isn't widely available in the US yet. Rumors and leaks are left out. We lead with each maker's own press release, and when a model name or a date comes only from trade press, the card says so. Statuses reflect those sources as of October 7, 2026.

TVs that are already shipping don't belong here, even if they're new: LG's C6, G6, and B6 OLEDs, Samsung's S95H and S90H, and the TCL and Hisense mini-LEDs in our guides are all on sale now. Once a set on this list ships widely, it comes off the watchlist.

Frequently asked questions

Should I wait for one of these TVs instead of buying now?

For most people, no. Every upcoming set here with a stated size is 100 inches or larger, and the only one with a published US price, Sony's 115-inch Bravia 9 II, lists at $30,999.99. Smaller RGB-backlit TVs from Samsung, Sony, and Hisense are already on sale, and our buying guides cover what to get at every common size and budget.

When will Samsung's 100-inch Micro RGB TV be available?

Samsung has only said the 100-inch Class Micro RGB TV “will debut later this year,” in its April 14, 2026 US lineup release. It hasn't published a date or a US price.

How much is the Sony Bravia 9 II in 115 inches?

Sony's published US MSRP for the 115-inch class Bravia 9 II is $30,999.99. Sony said in May 2026 that it would be available this fall; in early October it is only starting to show up in US retail listings.

Are Haier's MS96 and MR92 coming to the US?

Nothing has been announced. Trade coverage from IFA 2026 points to the second quarter of 2027 for the MS96 and sometime in 2027 for the MR92, with no prices. Haier hasn't announced US plans for either.
