LG B6 OLED: prices, fit, and what the testing says
LG's entry OLED has the same deep blacks as the C6 and much less light. Its 65-inch price didn't move once in two weeks of checks.
Our take
The short version
The B6 is an OLED for people who watch at night. Blacks are as deep as on any LG, it has Dolby Vision, and all four HDMI ports run at full HDMI 2.1 speed. What you give up is brightness. RTINGS rates the C6 considerably better, mainly for that reason, and Tom's Guide measured the B6 at 780 nits in HDR to the C6's 1,365.
It also stopped being much of a bargain. The 65-inch was $1,299.99 at Amazon every time we looked, from October 7 to October 19, and LG.com matched it. When the C6 fell to $1,399.99 on October 19, the gap between the two shrank to $100.
So the B6 makes sense in two cases: a sale that reopens that gap, or a dark room where its lower brightness never shows.
Our price checks
Price history
It's the only TV we checked four times at the same price: $1,299.99 at 65 inches on October 7, 12, 14, and 19. LG.com listed an original price of $1,999.99. Amazon's B6 listing only offered 65, 77, and 83 inches when we checked on October 12, so the 48- and 55-inch sizes in LG's lineup weren't on Amazon then.

The scores, explained
Fit by room and use
By room
- Bright room2/5
- This is its weakest room. It's dimmer than the C6, and in daylight that shows as a flat, washed-out picture. Pick something else if the blinds stay open.
- Mixed light3.5/5
- Fine for lamps at night, poor for afternoon sun. The low bright-room score drags this blend well below the C6's.
- Dark room5/5
- Per-pixel blacks, the same as the C6 and G6. With the lights off, the brightness gap matters far less.
By use
- Movies & TV5/5
- Dark-room films are its best use: perfect blacks, Dolby Vision, and enough HDR punch in a dim room. Highlights are softer than on the C and G series.
- Sports3/5
- Motion is clean, but daytime games tend to be watched with the lights on, where the B6 struggles. Hence the lower score.
- Gaming4/5
- All four ports are full 48Gbps HDMI 2.1 with VRR, per RTINGS, but it tops out at 120Hz. The C6 and the S90H go to 165Hz, so it lands a step lower.
- A bit of everything4/5
- Great films and good games, held back by middling sports. It's a specialist, not an all-rounder.

What Find my TV picks it for
Of the helper's 144 possible answers, the LG B6 OLED makes the shortlist in 15 and leads it in 6. The helper only picks the B6 for dark rooms and for movies, which is where its scores are high. At about $1,300 it doesn't fit the two lower budgets, and in a bright room its score there costs it more than its value score can make up.
