Review · Over-ear ANC (budget)
Soundcore Space One
The Space One is the cheap noise canceller to buy: it's Wirecutter's budget pick, and it brings 40 hours with ANC, LDAC, and multipoint at a fraction of flagship prices. It's a 2023 model, and our travel, call, and sound scores sit below the flagships'. For most budget buyers, that's a trade worth making.
Our take
The short version
If you want noise cancelling and don't want to spend flagship money, start here. The Space One is Wirecutter's budget pick in its noise-cancelling guide (updated Jul 20, 2026), and its spec sheet reads like a pricier headphone: up to 40 hours with ANC (55 without), a 5-minute charge for 4 hours, LDAC, Bluetooth 5.3, multipoint, and an AUX input.
List is $99.99, and it was around $84.99 on Amazon in early October 2026, under a quarter of what the Sony WH-1000XM6 was selling for (~$378). That's why it's the only over-ear on our list with a 5 for value.
Keep expectations in line with the price. It came out in 2023, which makes it the oldest model on our list, and our travel, call, and sound scores sit below the flagships'. LDAC is an Android feature; iPhones use AAC. Soundcore also sells the Space One Pro ($139.99), which we don't review; the regular Space One is the one Wirecutter picks.
