Amazon Fire TV Omni Mini-LED: prices, fit, and what the testing says
A Fire TV mini-LED for Alexa households. Amazon now sells it as the Ember Mini-LED Series, and cheaper sets match its picture scores.
Our take
The short version
This is the TV for a home that already runs on Alexa. Fire TV and Alexa voice control are built in, and the mini-LED picture is bright enough for a typical living room. Amazon now sells it as the Ember Mini-LED Series; the listing and the TV haven't changed, only the name.
It's a hard sell on picture alone. The TCL QM7L matches or beats every one of its fit scores for about $190 less at 65 inches, and the Hisense U8QG beats it on all five for $10 more. That's why we cut its value score from 5 to 4 on October 19.
The 65-inch was $1,089.99 from Amazon.com on October 12 and 19, up from a $799.99 Prime price on October 7. The 55-inch was $819.99 on both later checks.

The scores, explained
Fit by room and use
By room
- Bright room4/5
- Bright enough for an ordinary living room, but short of the TCL and Hisense sets that top this score.
- Mixed light3.5/5
- Fine by day, weaker at night, when its contrast shows its limits. The blend sits near the bottom of the catalog.
- Dark room3/5
- Not a substitute for OLED contrast in a dark home theater. Blacks are a step behind the better mini-LEDs here.
By use
- Movies & TV3/5
- Its picture trails the TCL QM7L and QM8L and Hisense's U-series in the reviews behind our catalog, and films show that most.
- Sports4/5
- Bright and smooth enough for games on a Sunday afternoon. Sports is where it holds its own.
- Gaming4/5
- Recent Omni Mini-LED models add competitive high-refresh game modes, good for casual console play.
- A bit of everything3.67/5
- Middling across the board. The reason to buy it is Fire TV and Alexa, not the scores.

The helper only lists it in bright-room answers under $1,200, in third place, where few sets fit and its bright-room score beats the dimmer OLEDs. At higher budgets better-scoring sets push it out.

Electricity
Cost to run
We don't have a sourced figure for this TV. The EnergyGuide label on its Amazon listing names model ML65F700 at 444 kWh a year, while the DOE filing for that model number says 362 kWh. With the two in conflict, we don't quote a running cost.

Sound
Soundbars that pair with it
At 65 inches, the size our prices use, the picture is 56.7 inches wide, so every soundbar we cover fits underneath. At 55 inches, the smallest Amazon Fire TV Omni Mini-LED size, 12 of them do. None of the bars we cover names a feature for Fire TV sets from 2025, so any bar over HDMI eARC is the same deal.
